How many members from this forum are entered or thinking of entering?
I imagine with having only redeckle, pumphouse and gr bays as designated areas on the lake there will be people dropping out of the derby.

it would be nice to know how many of you guys are going to be there...
thanks

:wave:I'll be there this weekend, the map I have also shows Jack fish bay, tuks bay, Horseshoe bay and Rainier draw. I have never fished any of these areas, thinking I will try Jack fish bay on Saturday. I'll be in the dodge ram white, drop by say hi

I spoke to a Kiwanis member regarding the derby last night,he said they are shutting down Rainier Draw,Horseshoe Bay & Tuks Bay due to BAD ICE conditions and no access in the south onto the lake. They will not have weighing stations @ all down there...open water near Rainier! For more info call them @403-362-3255
Largest Pike $2,000 (Min. 15lb to Qualify for Pike)
2nd Largest Pike $1,000
Largest Whitefish $400.
Youth prize $100

I am sure it will be a zoo out there with only 4 bays to fish in the Designated Areas,Catch/Release only so bring a cooler w/lid.. you can't keep anything if your in the Derby.
Spoke to a guy out there Tuesday fishin...not one Pike caught..Extremely slow!
Oh..and bring your floatation device..that many people(vehicles) in small areas should be a show!

They are opening one more area out from Kinbrook Island to accomadate a few more people since the closures is what I was told when purchasing my ticket. You don't have to register if you bought and signed your entry. If someone has picked up an entry for you must first go to the main headquarters (Kinbrook I believe) to sign the entry.

This may be a good time to meet some AO Board users. I will be easy to find, the one walking around with $2000.
