Ice Fishing Sylvan/Gull Lakes

Has anyone had a chance to get out to Sylvan or Gull Lake yet? What's the fishing like this year and how much ice is on the lake?

I had the snowmobile out on Sylvan yesterday. Did a tour of Palm bay and along the eastern side around Sunbreaker cove. There is about 7 inches of ice. Everyone was walking or using the snowmobile to get on the ice. But there was one car that had driven out in Palm bay, a little early for that yet I think. One group caught a burbot while I was talking to them.

The ice frozen very smooth this year. you could almost skate in to town if the wind blows the snow off.
