Why is It some lakes a person can catch lake whitefish and others seem not to even find them but they are in the lake. Example lake would be shining bank by edson saw nets pulled and they were full of whitefish I personally never saw one or any one else catch one.

Likely because unlike most species... Lake whites do not have predictable feeding habits in every lake. The feed on different types of feed depending on the lake and the time of year. Hence why you cant just always drop a minnow on a jig head down in the same 25ft of water and hammer them. I equate it to the elk hunting of fishing. Have to know where they are when they are they AND maybe even more important, why they are there.

Take a bucket, flip it upside down, then get some lathe, wrap some line around it and attach some hooks. This will catch you fish because these guys always have fish on the ice, not me.
