So my brother is in town with my 14 yr old niece. Sunday afternoon on the spur of the moment we decided to head out for her first ice fishing trip. Didn't get to the lake till around 2 pm, but by 4 we had iced some real beauty Rainbows. They were all about 18-22 inches. We released about 5 smaller ones. I let her reel in most of them and she was one excited girl. It was a great afternoon for her first trip, but damn it was COLD! Didn't feel like setting up tent for just a couple hours, but damn.
I'd bet a dollar there is not 1 bone in those fillets. Fish and chips tonight.
