So I was born in Alberta in 1994 and moved away in 2005. Didn't really fish until I got to Ontario in 2007.
I used to target walleye and pike and a few rainbows here and there in the Ottawa valley but never had the proximity to the fisheries as I do here.
These are the highlights of my first real season fishing around cold lake Alberta.
I am an avid fisherman and I can only thank my father for that.
I try to take out as many of my peers as possible and try to get them hooked onto a fish. I take great pride getting my guests onto fish.
All the fish are catch and release (other than the rainbows)
This was my first year targeting open water lake trout so it was a big trial and error season for me. I hope you all enjoy the photos!

Lost the boat at the boat launch. Thankfully some kind men came over wither boat and brought it back. Was ready to jump in the water.

This is my largest fish measuring in at 15lb on the dot. Took 15 minutes to get to the boat and 20 to release.

Great pics and fish caught...Good on you for taking others out.

Strange, I've lived in AB all my life and have never caught a Laker, just haven't tried it yet. Mind you during that time I also have never done laundry either ...

Thanks guys, yeah i love cold lake. Only think is i gotta get a larger boat haha been a bit nuts on the lake when its really windy so only fished 2/3 of the days i could have and im pretty daring.

I think i may venture up north and try northern Saskatchewan next year!
