How is the residential construction around the Calgary/Edmonton area?

The g-f has this group on fb and she is seeing that the construction has many openings. How do you see it? My son would like to get out west and see other than just seasonal roofing.

Around Edmonton it is definitely slowing down. Builders used to build and sell, now they are selling then building.

I still see some condo's progressing and a few starts continuing. I just got to a suppliers downtown Calgary location and was pleased to see activity on a site where they're setting piles for an excavation at 10th Ave & 5th Street. The sky hasn't dropped completely, it's a good time to build as prices will be better so long as you don't need lots of materials from the USA.

Very slow right now in Calgary. I would not count on just showing up and landing a good job with ease like the olden days.
