Shot Show 2016

Like so many others, we too are on the ground in Vegas checking out all the newest releases from Shot Show. As always when we are looking at new products, your feedback is invaluable and so I'd like to invite everyone to comment on this thread with any particular brands or products that you would like us to check out. We will be updating this thread throughout the week with notable new products and other news, and will wrap things up on Friday.

In the spirit of new releases, we are pleased to announce that we already have the 2016 releases from Vortex Optics available for pre-order, including the Vortex Razor HD AMG 6-24x50 FFP Riflescope (http://www.grouseriver.com/Vortex-Razor-HD-AMG-6-24x50-FFP-Riflescope), and Razor HD LH Series. With day one "officially" in the books, we can take a minute to catch our breath and report back on just a few of the brands we met with yesterday.

One of the more anticipated new brands for 2016 will be ATN Corporation and their broad selection of "Smart HD Optics" including Night Vision and Thermal Imaging. We are excited to be adding this lineup to our already extensive optics selection and will be posting more information as it becomes available.

Staying with optics, you can also look for an expanded selection and increased inventory of Swarovski Optics in 2016. Having the entire Swarovski lineup in one place is a sight to behold, and we are thrilled to be bringing even more of their great product to you.

Another new brand to look forward to is the premium German firearm manufacturer, Blaser! We will be carrying a selection of both rifles and shotguns, including the very popular modular R8, which incorporates a straight pull bolt and a very innovative set of safety features including automatic decocking. No firm ETA on these yet, but anticipate late spring or early summer. As with so many others, more information will be forthcoming.

Badlands has stepped their game up in a big way, unveiling a new digital camo called "Approach". This is a major departure from the RealTree pattern that they've used extensively over the past several years, and based on what we've seen, looks to be an excellent pattern for a variety of landscapes. The pattern will be incorporated into both their packs and clothing lines, with packs arriving in March and clothing in June. Badlands continues to offer one of the best warranties in the business and as a result, we are always excited when they come out with something new and innovative.

As one would expect, a few extra sets of eyes would help while trying to take in everything, but nonetheless we do have a few other announcements to make.

Industry leaders Sitka Gear, have launched several new products for 2016, including the new Timberline Jacket (shown here) and a redesigned and updated Timberline Pant. If that wasn't enough, they've also redesigned the Mountain Pant and have paired it with a new Mountain Jacket as well. Both of these lineups will arrive along with the other new Sitka products in May/June.

Additionally, one of our most popular backpack brands, Eberlestock, has really impressed with their new F65 Little Big Top Pack. Designed to work on it's own, or attached to the Mainframe for larger loads, the F65 offers 65 cubic inches of volume while weighing only 5.2 lbs. Also available in Eberlestock's new Unicam-Dry Camo, and expected to arrive late spring!

A few more Sitka related updates for everyone!

This year, we are pleased to be stocking an assortment of Sitka pants and jackets in solid colours as well. You can expect the popular and versatile Jetstream Jacket to be among the products that we bring in, but we'd appreciate your feedback on the other pieces that you'd like to see as well!

Additionally, Sitka has also launched a new Waterfowl Timber Pattern, which was very impressive. There are a number of innovative accessories with this pattern as well (new calling gloves) and we are looking forward to adding this to our selection of waterfowl specific camo.
