Well, just got home from Las Vegas! We attended the Continental Cup Of Curling. What fun!!! We had a great time and watched a lot of fabulous curling and a lot of camaraderie between teams and players.

What a fabulous thing to see the fun those players all have with each other.

I think most of the attendees in the crowd were Canadian, but the fans were amazing, cheering for both Team World and Team North America.

It was a fantastic competition.

Las Vegas is hosting the Ford World Men's competition in 2018. I think I'm going back to Vegas--LOL!!

It's obvious--I-Love-Curling....LOL.

There was a 78 year old Mexican woman who had never seen ice or live curling. She saved for a whole year to come to Vegas to see the curling games and the teams honored her by bringing her to ice level, to feel the ice. That was special.

The live games are a lot more exciting than on TV.

I do not know why but curling is the only sport I seem to watch on the tube. I put on a hockey game and spot watch it checking the score once in a while but I seem to have lost my interest in hockey. The only other sport I will sit down and watch the whole game is Canadian Football. (CFL)

The strategy involved is complicated for some.

Hard to follow for the slow.:sHa_sarcasticlol:
Probably the best sport to watch that's played on ice.

How did you like the doubles games?
Only saw part of one game, but it was crazy. Rocks stacking up every end, less control without the sweeping.

It reminded me of 3-on-3 OT in the NHL. Fun to watch, but doesn't really resemble the real game.

 Got free corporate Briar tickets last year. Never again. So bored.

Figured out two things:

Watching is probably more interesting if you play the game.
Need to watch just one game. I kept going back and forth between different games so nothing had any sense of rhythm or drama.

I loved the mixed doubles. Different format from a regular game, and fun to watch. Only two team members on each team, and they have to decide whether the shooter or the partner is going to sweep. It adds a twist of excitement to the game. Mixed doubles is going to be a demonstration sport in the 2018 Olympics.
