Hey all,
This summer I'm going on a 14 day canoeing excursion down the Nahanni River in NWT. Has anyone fished the Nahanni River? If so, I'd love to hear the stories and see the pics
Cheers :)

My room mate canoe guides on that river, he tells me it sucks (really muddy). If you want big fish, look up the keele river (his words).

That's what the water looks like, but if you want to see something pretty neat. The black sand bars have gold! We were able to sift it in our hands and you could see the flecks from a hand full.

I don't know anything else about gold mining.

Thanks again

There are bulls in the Nahanni itself, so if you do fish it do so accordingly.

I've read there are pike, lakers, grayling and whites as well
