new baby orcas (http://globalnews.ca/news/2464938/baby-boom-continues-for-orcas-in-b-c-waters-ninth-born-in-14-months/)

Global warming impacts increases baby orca births.

Great side effect. Most orcas being born during global warming period.

I love baby orcas. Keep the warming coming!

This is great. How can anyone be against baby Orca's?

Something has to replace the polar bears.

Isn't the polar bear population increasing?

Which population cohort? The answer is yes, no, and not enough data, depending which subset you're referring to.

I watched a doc about Orcas moving into uncharted territory in the north because of warming. The result is devastating for the Narwhal they are hunting.

Contact Gord Stenhouse at the Foothills Research Institute.

I'm sure he can point you in the right direction.

Why does this ^ map by the Norwegian Polar Institute, show 'Data Deficient' next to Norway?!?!

Sometimes science can be a wonderful thing, until you start to ask questions

Thanks for that.

AVB led me to believe global warming was helping orcas but killing polar bears.

Based upon the scientific facts without superimposed global warming bias it looks like they are doing fine.

As everyone knows in a population there is a natural predator prey cycle. Some populations should be down, some stable and some increasing.

Clearly they look better than expected. Global warming appears to either help or is neutral with some natural cycles mixed in.

Good for polar bears and orcas. Who else is scientifically benefiting from global warming.

I would hate to stop using oil and kill orcas as a result. We better alert the media.
