Sort of. I cut the tile and have to inlay it into a stainless steel frame. They're "Chameleon Heat Vents".
(http://chameleonregisters.com/) Takes a little more than an hour for each vent.

Well I can't say I care much for the color, actually just removed similar color flooring from our house. The workmanship however looks first rate, if I could afford you I'd hire you for sure!

Looks good, I've had similar hardwood floors and , according to the wife, they really suck to clean lol. Seems it needed to be vacuumed, rather than swept, or both. Personally, I thought floor cleaned itself :sHa_sarcasticlol::sHa_sarcasticlol:

Uhh....it's not hardwood. It's porcelain tile. And it cleans like a charm. Simply wipe with a sponge. You can also drag a bag of chains across the floor and it wouldn't scratch.
Cost is around $18-20/Sq ft installed, not including the Ditra sub floor you see in the photos.

Looks great. Was it necessary to do the ditra on the main floor? I thought that stuff was more for going over concrete with tiles. Also, do the tile spacers go under the tiles, then push the little wedge in to make the tops of the tiles perfectly flush? That looks like a neat system.

A single layer of 5/8th's OSB is not rigid enough for tile, so a subfloor is necessary. 3/8th's plywood sheeting will do the trick, but that would have brought the new tile above the existing tile. Ditra has a thinner profile but also comes with a 10 year warranty against tile cracking.
