I took the kids out today and met the F&W officer I know there. He said it's really slow. There was 3 other groups and only one caught and only 1 or 2 bites.
The ice was real ugly and slick. He said it was good at the beginning of the season but been slow since.
I'm really only reporting this because I was at the fishin hole and the board and a couple of the less knowledgeable staff said it was "good". Yet when I asked them detailed questions they admitted neither of them had been there.
Not trying to trick people to stay away, lol. Just saving you the trip. I talked to a couple guys last week who started their day there but left without a bite also.
