Are there any decent lakes within the peace river area?

For pike walleye and perch you got snipe and winagami to the south and joker haig and sawn to the east. And if you go a bit further to redearth and east you have a multitude of lakes to choose from. If it's trout your after sulphur, Stoney, and figure eight can be good to the west. And if it's summer, the peace River itself can be good .

Probably winagami or haig. Your looking at just over an hour drive.

I don't think either, been awhile, have to check regs on them.
