What about one of these RC trucks with a GoPro to scout out the area for structure and fish? Maybe put a bobber on it and do some fishing while scouting? A down rigger release might be needed...

You'd lose signal if it went any deeper.
One of those RC boats, in open water season, would be pretty cool.......until a big pike grabs it ....... I think I saw a post on this a while back ......

Just remember to stay within legal distance if your not holding the line and you should be OK.

I can just imagine driving around the bottom under hard water guided by my Gopro chasing fish! :sHa_shakeshout:

An r/c submarine with camera would be pretty nice to scout out under the ice. Just walk along above...
May be an issue with remote signal when you get some depth
