California White Fish

It's been close to a month since we arrived in Palm Springs, got 8 rounds of golf in, took the day off to do something different.

Seen lots of these guys in the pond next to our condo while looking for my golf ball one day, didn't bring my fishin gear so had to improvise with my 3 iron and wire, they sure don't look anything like Sylvan Whites, not at all shy, sight fishing at mid-day was OK, they will take an artificial presentation came up with a new w/w, line color or diameter wasn't a concern, they sure inhale the bait, didn't keep any, probably taste a bit like goose poop.

Bwabbit, when I set the hook that fish almost pulled my 3 iron into the lake, could of used you're help with the net, it was a true P.P.F. trophy.

Snap, you must have the same W/W in your tackle box, it worked on these guys, they also came in a few different colors.

Look forward to seeing some more pics from Sylvan/Gull from you guys.

With this working in Calgary thing, I drive by Gull and Sylvan every Sunday. As the days get longer, every Sunday evening is going to be spent at one of the two lakes. Hopefully some interesting reports to come.
