I'm contemplating using what I call bubble wrap. Use it in the oil patch for insulating all kinds of stuff, use tuck tape for all your adhesive needs. I have a few pieces I use in my tent, one for the dog to lay on and the other piece I have under my sunflower heater so it will reflect the heat off the ice and keep it from melting the ice around the heater. I think my next move is just doing the whole floor with it

My brother in w uses some old, thin carpet cut to size with hole flaps cut out. Works pretty good

Costco has those interlocking rubber garage mats that work good if you have a smooth surface to start on, they take a little more of a beating if they freeze down

Plywood with indoor/outdoor carpet (the green stuff) over top. Except under the stove.

2 pieces of this - 4 feet wide by however long you need it to be ..... rolls and unrolls in 30 seconds, doesn`t stick or freeze to the ice and keep the feet warm and safe as it doesn`t get slippery ......

There are a couple different thicknessess and grades and prices from $5 to $10 a linear foot.

They sell same rubber mat by the foot at Peavy Mart in Strathmore. Think it was about $5.50/ft.
