Sorry to hear such terrible news.
If you're willing, would you like to share contributing conditions that led to kidney disease? Hypertension? Congenital defects? Diabetes? Might help some avoid or reduce potnential.

Ya lost mine few years ago and ended up hooked up to a machine.kinda screws you for over night hunting trips.Just have to make the best of a bad thing.Quit hunting for a few years and just got back into it again this year.very challenging doing dialysis and hunting the same time. But anything is possible.Decided to burn my p12 elk tag this year and had a great time.p13 on sheep think that's off my list for a while.Just have to stay positive and keep moving forward.
Hope all works out for you.

Latest news here is, we're getting a couple of Syrian refugees with significant kidney problems. Tough row to hoe and care facilities are limited as is. WTF.

? Um? Did the Prime minister not state they were doing medical reviews as well as threat assessments to lower the economical effects on Canadians... Are you doubting his commitment to us???

Hey sad to hear about your problem. kidney is very important part of our body. The kidneys are organs that filter blood to maintain the balance of chemicals, remove the waste products and eliminate them as urine. The kidneys also regulate blood pressure, regulate the production of body fluid and produce hormones that stimulate the production of red blood cells. I never faced this kind of problem but you should take care of your self and follow the instructions of your doctor.

My sympathies on your diagnosis. These sorts of 'sudden' changes in our health can really throw you for a loop.

I was diagnosed several years ago with a form of kidney disease called Iga nephropathy. Essentially, my very sharp doctor found small amounts of blood and protein in my urine..slightly more than what normal people have.
He explained it as the filters in my kidney are 'wider' than normal and not catching these smaller things..
It's unknown if it will get worse over time (likely), or stay the same. For the last 10 years, my tested values have stayed the same....

So, the biggest problem it has caused me so far, is to be denied any real amount of life insurance..once diagnosed with a disease, you are forever tarnished and essentially insurance companies really don't want to touch you. At least in my work experience..

My heart goes out to you..the thought of having to stay close to dialysis would require major life adjustments. I hope your family is very understanding and supportive.
