Yessir, we need to see pics.

When I built mine, it was somthing I was proud of.

Now that I've used it just over half a dozen times there's a few little things I'd change, but overall super happy with it.

I might now invest in a smaller 2 man pop-up tent so I can move around a bit and keep my big shack as a base camp. Spent two overnighters in it this weekend. Worked awesome.

P.S. If you're having trouble posting pics, PM me for my email and I'll post em for you.

I made a 8" pan outta sheet metal. That way I can store my chairs and fishing equipment inside when it is colapsed. I tried pulling with my quad around the yard with no problem.

You guys who all built shelters this year should start a new thread and post pictures have a Shanty build off competition and see who votes for the best have it as a vote set up , could be fun to see . Good work , I like the Steel base , but wont that make it very slippery when wet ?

That shack is cool I bought one at crappy tire last year for $500.00 bucks yours is way nicer. I'm going to sell mine a build one after seeing the one you built. I do believe you've motivated me.

Yep, I really like that metal base. Very cool. As BBJ suggested, there are a few guys putting thier shacks up on this thread for your inspiration... Hopefully more guys add theirs as well.

the metal base is just a frame it is lined with plywood inside. The only metal there is the sides and the skis. If any one wants in my spare time i can fab some bases just give me dimensions you want. I can get the metal for about 35-40 bucks. Cant promise when they will be done but i will try.
