Hey all, heading up that way(shaws/hilliards) in a couple weeks. Looks like we'll be staying in High Prairie. Never stayed in that town before, what type of breakfast restaurants are recommended by you local fisherman. Watering holes....dinner options...etc. Just planning out things....usually stay at shaws point, cook for ourselves but not an option in Feb. AND WE HAVE THE "WALLEYE ITCH"!
Thanks in advance for any info

Ahh, High Prairie! What can I say that hasn't already been said...??? :D

For "brand" restaurants there is Smittys, A&W, Subway and KFC.
For local restaurants the best one is probably The Boondocks Grill. There is also a Chinese place, and café in the local IGA, and a couple coffee shops in the local hotels. The Vine is the newest restaurant / lounge and they have excellent food, their wings are crazy good! There is a pizza place called Nados also.

For lounges, there is the aforementioned The Vine, a place called Brandys, and a place called The Cozy ( please approach this establishment with......care...:burp:). and a place above the Chinese place called The Northern Lights. I think there is also a lounge at the Days Inn. Used to be anyway.

Hotels are Days Inn and Peavine Inn.
Motels are Key Inn, Raven Motel and Star Inn.

Hope that helps! :)
