The way I see the direction of our fight against gun registration going is via the political route. The Alliance party was the only party to openly support our cause in the last election. Unfortunately they have shot themselves in the foot and are now in trouble. Nonthe less there are still about 4 years to the next election; enough time to heal and get the voters on their side. Without a political movement on our side there are not enough of us to cause a change. Provincial support will help but the feds don't pay attention to any provinces except Ontario and especially Quebec. I believe we have to align ourselves with the Alliance and do what we can to help them sort themselves out.

The best thing we can do is not to register anything until the eleventh hour, over a year from now. By then the fiberals in Ottawa will have scrapped the billion dollar boondoggle to fund the drive to eradicate terrorism. Don't hold your breath waiting for the Alliance, they are millions of dollars in debt and no corporations are dolling out money to a party that is imploding. The PC/DRC could be our only chance to defeat the Fiberals unless Stuckless Day smells the coffee and resigns before it is to late.

Funny, the Alliance is totally anti-protection of the environment, and natural habitat. Sure you will have guns, but nothing to shoot at if these guys get in. You can bet if they were given the choice of designating a new Wildland park, or setting up a giant pulp mill that would destroy all the natural habitat and everything inside it, they would side with the corporation.

In order to hunt, you need wildlife- and wildlife need wild places. The wildlife doesn't need a right-wing extremist party destroying all that is left of our wilderness.

Sworddemon, I'd be interested to know where you got this anti environment rhetoric from. I've followed the Alliance party fairly closely and never once heard them say they hated the environment. In fact, their platform has some unique methods for preserving it. Could this be just a case where you don't support them and are allowing your bias to influence your post or do you actually have proof that backs up your statement?
