I usually fish south side find sandy bottom but I catch them all over the lake you need a flasher though if you like too catch lots you basically have a two hour period from around 4:30 till 6:30 pm and you really have too work them I've fished three nights this year and never caught one on dead stick over 50 when jigging really have too jig aggressively till they come in and also bounce off bottom when you see them on sonar slowly lift bait and twitch a bit pause repeat they can't resist but most bites are really soft I use a buckshot tipped with minnow head full minnow they won't touch also when they don't commit too that I break out the puppet minnow gets them every time have fun hope this helps
