Anyone been to Coal lake lately?

Just wondering if the road for the boat launch at 616 is still a freaking skating rink??

I was there last thursday night and it was good for us... warm weather, and I was in a 2wd truck, wehad no issues...except we counld not catch anything...grrrrr

the lack of fish there sucks i was out tehre few days ago adn got nothing so good luck

Was out on Monday. Decided to finally set up a tent and see whats down there. In about 4 hours we only saw about 8 pike. my friend caught a 3lb sucker fish and had a big pike on. But more then half of the pike just swam on by. dunno if thats good for the lake, but im glad we at least saw something

Summer time the fishing is rather decent, I have not really fished Coal other than the north shore near 616, I usually fish on the east side.

Where abouts were you fishing?
