I've been trying to figure this out for awhile, but havent gotten around to it. I'm hunting big pike and I wouldn't dream of weighing them without some kind of cradle.
I seen a couple cradles at Cabelas but their a little pricey and dont have any rigging for a scale. I know its not a difficult build, but just wondering what some of you use.
I'm thinking some 3-4' lengths of PVC with some mesh if possible or light material. The replacement netting for sale is overpriced also IMO. 4 eyelet bolts at the 4 corners and rope or chain to a shackle or something.
I even thought about just using a cardboard box with a sheet or something for padding. Thats pretty ghetto but I don't expect to need one often, or care what it looks like.
