Off to Brazeau area for a bear hunt the end of May. Would like to get some fishing in out there as well. How is the Brazeau River that time of year? Also, I LOVE night fishing for burbs. I would expect them to be in the Reservoir, but can anyone confirm? Any tips for the area would be great, thanks!

The place to catch Burbs is below the dam and in the canal. Fish a couple hundred meters east of the gates where the water starts to slow down.If it is anything like it was a few years ago, be prepared to catch the biggest Burb that you have ever seen.
Best of luck

The Brazeau river itself, below the dam, is not easy to fish productively. The water fluctuates too much. I have walked and fished a couple miles of the river there will little success. Stick to the reservoir and canal. There is also the stocked trout pond east of the powerhouse.
