Since the wife had to work today, and I was up at 3:00 a.m., I decided to head south. It was a great morning at Beauvais. I had the entire lake to myself for the first hour and a half, then I heard 2 other people, but they were accross the lake, so I basically had the place to myself. Caught a couple right off, then it averaged 1 every 15 min.. Nothing of great size but they put up a bit of a fight. Caught and released 8 and lost a couple right at the hole.
Moved on to Lee lake and there were a few people there. Asked a couple of guys if they would mind if I set up near them and shoot the ****, and they had no problem with me joining. Those guys caught a few but I didn't have much luck there. A few hits and that was it. The bite seemed to have ended as I got there. Oh well...
Had great weather. Got a little sun burn on the nose. Caught some fish...what more could a guy ask for?
Another day just the same.
