Anyone one been to wabasca lately?
Just wondering how the ice is? Thickness?

I was up on North Wabasca last Saturday, Ice is 26" thick and in good condition, heading back up this Saturday again. Walleye was slow, but nice big northern pike, keeps me coming back.:sHa_shakeshout:

Right on, lots of guys still driving on eh?
Yeah the walleye seem to be slower, but the pike are fun to catch.

Thats exactly how I feel about Utikama! Someday....SOMEDAY I'll hammer some big walleye there! But you really can't beat the pike fishing!

As for the topic - if Wabasca is anything like these other northern lakes ( Lesser Slave, Sturgeon, Utik, Winagami ) you won't have any concerns on ice being safe still. LOTS of ice around here.
