My bad, I guess I should have said that the walleye draw information is now available online at " Albertarelm"!

Take a look at last years results. So many people didn't receive there first draw choice or even any tags. Money grab it is !

In my opinion, raise the price of a licence and the draw should be free.

About 3700 class A issued, About the same for class B and C

So about 12,000 issued and we have how many fishers in the province ? 100,000 ?? Money grab !

Go to a lake where you don't have to have a tag to keep a fish. I personally refuse to give the government anymore money than I need to. Especially these bleeding heart NDP's and Liberals. We pay enough taxes people. Smarten up and stop buying these stupid tags.

Almost the entire cost of entering the draw goes to the company hired to conduct the draw and that runs the draw system. The government receives very little of this money, last I heard it was possibly 0.25 cents per application going to the government might even be less.

It's $14 for the draw and tags, so let's say 3 class B walleye (43-50 cm). Regular fuel is approx 80cents per liter today. I'm no mathematician, but I will take my chances on " the draw" and keep my walleye with a $20 gas bill.

I've been an out of province angler since before the draw was created, so I have never participated in the draw... since I'm not allowed. Only Alberta residents can participate.

But I still catch walleye without a tag for the frying pan. So if you don't like the tag system just go to a lake or river that doesn't require a tag.

I do see the tag system as useful to control some populations if they aren't willing to open certain lakes to the general public.
