Anybody have any info on ice conditions for pigeon? More so around mameo area? Looking to get out for one last fling before she completely rots.

We were out around the island today. Took quads the ice was still good but getting soft. Didn't stay that long due to hurricane conditions :)

Went out Wednesday to the PP.
Ice heave at the boat launch, but still lots of ice to drive on.
Windy as hell, me and 2 other trucks just seen one jack.
One more try to fill tags perhaps this weekend!

23" clear ice 1' slush ice cuts fast with large shavings but not porous .

Mulhurst launch area is melting has large puddle and concrete ties are buckling up, pressure ridge building south of launch.

Stuck it out through the gale and filled our last 2 tags right at dark.

Was out yesterday and there was around 20 in of ice but a couple holes we drilled had slushy layers. There were a number of guys driving on but you hit the right spot you never know. I personally would quad or walk.

Anyone been out lately. Heading to the provincial park. Not sure if it's better to try deep for whites right now or close to shore somewhere. Any advice would be great.

Was out at pigeon yesterday by mulhurst very slow. Saw a walleye was looking for whites. Tried in 4-8 feet. Couldn't drive on there open water at shore. Talked to a local he said there out deep. 20+ feet. Water is murky under ice. It's clear near the bottom

Fished by zeiner and also at the p.p.. I caught a small jack and my son caught a small walleye. Was very slow all morning. The ice was good for this time of year..

Can you still drive on at the PP or is the shore too soft?

The days are numbered for driving. Me personally I wouldn't. There was white and dark spots starting to show through. Could have drove today though. Everyone walked or quaded. 2-3 inches of slush by mid day. Afternoon walleye bite though was unreal. Very picky walleye. Best to let them suck it from the bottom. May have been slower without a camera.
