Hi all. Just wondering if anyone can provide any updates on the ice conditions for this area-specifically for Touchwood, Pinehurst and Seibert. Heard rumours of bad flood ice/slush and just wondering if travel on these lakes will be doable on a quad. Any updates on fishing would be appreciated as well, feel free to send a PM if needed. Thanks ahead of time for any info provided....

Cold Lake this past weekend - 20 inches of ice, 2 or 3 inches of snow - no flood water. Easily travelled by quad or sled still. ice in good condition with no signs yet of deterioration.

I was also on LLB two weekends ago. There was 28 inches of good ice, 8 or 9 inches of snow. There were definite patches of flood water. If you stuck to the paths, no problem. Tough going off the truck path.

I would thin most of the lakes in Lakeland are still good to go re the ice. Flood water will differ base don snow pack on top.

ice is still good and will be till the end of March no problem.

20 inch on pine flood patches shouldn't be a problem seen a 50 foot school bus on the ice.

Cold lake had some snow and flood water but was in good shape. We weren't able to get far on Crane with a truck. A quad will be your best bet by now.

Thanks for that info, I'm planning to travel on the ice by quad. Hoping that area hasn't received too much snow the last couple days.....

Can't speak for all lakes but this was last Friday on Blackett/kinnard/dabbs. Pretty heavy in places and none elsewhere. And more snow in the last 2 days. Snowmobiles are best but can be done with atv

Thanks for the head up/pics Dark Horn. I'll have to watch for soft spots and make sure I carry enough fuel.....
