Went for a short hike today, and ended with no sheds, but had 4 woodticks on me.

Not sure if this is true or not, but ESRD (I believe) wants anyone who finds a tick to send them in for testing. I guess cause of the mild winter, Lyme disease is there concern.

Wow -- that's very early. Schaffer was going to start his Advantix this weekend anyway, but that was because of an upcoming out-of-province trip. Those little guys are fascinating to me from a scientific perspective, but creepy (in both senses of the word) from a personal one.

What did you use to get ticks removed and were they on your dog too?
