Well, I think it's time to put away the ice fishing gear. Just got back from Lac St. Anne, and even though the ice is still a good 12-15 inches thick away from shore, it is getting very soft on top and is very sketchy near shore. Did have one last go at filling our last couple Walleye tags and it was a perfect evening to be on the ice. We only iced the one legal Walleye, (a nice chunky one), but did catch 15 Pike. Really don't see why they don't allow some pike to be kept at Anne, as they seem to be getting out of control. All in all it was a great ice fishing season. One of the mildest winters I can recall.

Good job Ernist !

Not gonna fill a tag this year for me. With playing nurse and shuffer for my mom, I had no time to get out. Not a single Perch kept for me this season. Oh well, next year. At least I got a large Walleye out of Utikama earler in the season.
