Not sure if they've even made it North of the 49th yet...

I've looked at the A17,and if the stock is the same on the 22. POS in my opinion. Savage has not saved anything by putting on a crappy stock. They have the same stock on the B-Mag changed mine out to a Boyds

They have the same stock on the B-Mag, changed mine out to a Boyds.

Savage already has the laminated Boyd's sporter-style & thumbhole stocks available from the factory for the A17 (in the US)... A22 is sure to follow, if not from the factory then from Boyds directly.

I'm far more interested in the CCI A22 ammo designed specifically for the Savage A22... Seems hard to find in Canada.

30gr pills work the best in my 22wmr, 40's are mediocre, 45's better than the 40's. I'd like to see how 35's would perform.

I had a look at getting an A22 but decided against it because it just came out in January. Savage is following the success of the A17. Last year the A17 came out with a basic rifle and this year they've added different models. I'm thinking the same will happen with the A22 so I'm willing to wait a year to make sure that there are no issues with it and if an improved model will come out. This will be a working rifle so I don't feel too adventurous about buying it. Ammo availability is a concern as well.

It will be interesting to see when they will make it up here. I will definitely be looking into one.
