Has anyone ever been to Trout Lake, Duncan Lake or Slocan Lake? I am trying to decide which lakes to do when I go to bc in a few weeks and all 3 of these lakes look great. Just was wondering if anyone has any first hand info that could help me out with camping fishing roads boat launches ect. We will be taking my 17 foot boat and we do have down riggers and stuff with us. It is just tough finding much info on these places.

Fished the south end of Duncan a few years ago bull trout were all we caught, we were down rigging using large rapalas/lyman plugs. Not a lot caught but enough to keep you interested.

Well just got home from the trip thought i would update this post. Went to kinbasket lake for a night but my boat was running poorly. So I had to take it in to sicamous to get it fixed. We decided. To just go to the shuswap since we were already there and the weather was great there. Here are some pics of the fish we caught.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160705/c746cd0f22ddcc091fdb03bc3633a5a6.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160705/cd467518a9ea149b9f73d4404206bcdd.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160705/acff6ec02d2d86dbc939237e49cd8098.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160705/edc899af8a95cd2c89bf8b3b2993adbf.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160705/f73012a992aa02cfda95d420e997ed10.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160705/62dd517fa3c70332c9c4d8c961fd6c51.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160705/e3420ce4d6c54c37af4a1007d7c67d1d.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160705/bf1b1bbaf4644ec9addcec0f3be767dc.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160705/2077860d812e443f486ed6ba05c67619.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160705/a3a49ccf25992e418e9bf755fa4bd696.jpg

We only had 2 of us fishing at first so I tried one bucktail on the surface and one hook off the downrigger at various depths. The first couple days were slow but we did manage a 50cm rainbow and a 60 cm Laker we could keep. I figured out not to get to close to the streams coming in unless you want to catch the northern pike minnows. And the best depth for rainbows is 25 to 40 foot. If you go deeper then 40 feet you catch pretty much all Lakers and the rainbows are much more fun to catch I'm my opinion. Don't troll faster then 3.0 mph. We had best results going about 2.4 to 2.8. Aa far as numbers go we were having good success with the small trout killer apex. Various colors worked but blue and silver was the most consistent. As far as hooking into big fish the Lyman plug was clutch. It caught almost every big Rainbow on the trip. We were using a purple and silver one and a green pink kind of rainbow colored one. If I am fishing deep I try and go darker if I am in top 30 feet of water I like to go with bright colors. As far as water depth between 60 and 120 feet was best depth. It's all about location the first few days we would troll all day and hook up with 3 or 4 fish. The last day we were there we caught 22. Hope this helps
