Hey guys, me and my younger sister want to check out Big Lake. It's close to her house and it's a decent option for evening fishing that still lets us get home in time to tuck the kids in.

I don't see a whole lot of access on the south side of the lake (we're coming from Winterburn). Where might be the best place to get in close to the south end of the lake?

Thanks!

I live right on the shore of Big Lake (Lakeshore Estates) and the lake is useless. I drilled holes in it all over a few years back and it was 3 feet deep in most places. Even drove to St.Albert to try by the bridge and same story.

You can literally walk across the sturgeon in St. Albert I've seen low but never dried up, kids didn't get to fish for the first time on opening day, but we did stop by the pond that was loaded with goldfish, invasive species, and watched a great blue heron show us the ropes, and that's a memory right there:sHa_shakeshout:
