Hey fellas, I am having a heck of a time finding a good map of Alberta online which list names of the rivers/creeks etc. More specifically I am trying to locate sections of the Raven River West of Red Deer. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Right in the fishing regulations. I'm sure there are better maps around but at least you can find what you are looking for here..

Could always buy the BRMB ... they are a pretty good resource to have. They sell them at MEC.

But I have never really had a problem using Google Earth ... Usually it's a zooming issue rather than it not being labeled.

Hope you find what you're looking for.

Don't know if these are what you are looking for...

http://www.rdrwa.ca/location (Water Maps), under each basin there's a little map with some details (more or less )

like...

However, the Red Deer River Basin site is being worked on at the moment. Don't know when it'll be completed; and whether you need it straightaway. Maybe the RDRWA team can help you out by sending you an old map that they might have somewhere.

This is a link from http://www.AB-conservation.com for the Raven River. Not much here, but it should give you a starting point.

Good luck.

An addition to the previous information...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raven_River

"The river begins somewhere in the western Alberta foothills. Many small tributaries form the river there. The river flows in an eastern direction.
1 - The river passes near Burnstick Lake (both the town and the lake), and then
2 - passes very closely to the Clearwater River, which is part of a different watershed altogether.
3 - It passes near the Clearwater Ricinus Natural Area.
4 - The river then starts to follow closely to Alberta Highway 54, yet never being crossed by it.
5 - It passes near Caroline and is joined by Beaver Creek which contains the artificial Beaver Lake.
6 - Alberta Highway 22 crosses the river.
7 - The river is then joined by the North Raven River at Raven and passes near the Raven Recreation Area before it sharply turns southwards.
8 - The river is joined by Crooked Creek near the Medicine River Wildlife Centre.[2]
9 - The river then passes not far from Kevisville before emptying into the Red Deer River, which then
10 - enters into the artificial Gleniffer Lake formed by Dickson Dam."
