Chain Lakes or Pine Coulee

Im headed out to either Chain or Pine Coulee tomm.

Anyone know if the ice is safe to drive on? How much snow?

The last few times i've been out was to Chain cuz I got skunked at Pine Coulee. I couldn't believe it! I have never been skunked there before that. Anyways, chain was great. Lots of fish but nothing big...

If all the flood water has frozen solid you should have at least 26" of ice. Not sure what the snow is like now, it was mostly slush when I went out two nights ago. Most likely the surface is really rough ice now.

good to know. 26" should be ok...
did you drive your vehicle on the ice?

Was out at PCR on Sun ice was about 24" very little snow, my friend drove on with a car. Fished from 5pm to 1030pm a little slow, 11 ling 7 walleye. Good luck Dave

We were there Monday in the warm day of the week. There was lots of water on top but it should be well frozen by now. Lots of ice. We drove on and off at the boat launch and no problems. Had a good evening of fishing as well.
