What is the first fishing lure you use when you go fishing?

My first choice is mepp's aglia #5 silver color blade with dressed hook. It usualy work's great within the first 15 min's of fishing.

Usually a 4"+ jerk bait to go after the bigger pike.

If I'm not bait fishing I start with a topwater lure usually a buzzbait or Zara Spook.
If it's windy I'll use the buzzbait 2-3 feet under the surface, bright colors in the sun and darker colors when it's cloudy.

White jig with bright pink head. I catch lots of fish with that set up in river and lake

Dropshot rig with a big dew worm right off a drop off, litterly hooked up on my first fish of this season as soon as it hit bottom.

For no particular reason I put on a medium sized 5 of diamonds - pike, walleye... whatever. Funny thing is the first fish to take it was a 7" perch. The lure was almost as big as he was! Haha. Have no idea how he latched onto the treble.

My first lure in the water in the summer is always a Len Thompson spoon. Find the fish then narrow down an area and target bigger ones!!
