I'm planning a trip out to Pinehurst the weekend of June 17 and am wondering if anyone had suggestions on where to stay? I have camped at Pinehurst in the past but want to stay in a cabin this year. Are there any cabins within a 1/2hr drive a guy could look into?

Not sure but you may want to check Beaver lake area or Elinor lake. Lac labiche motel might be a choice. Not likely you will find a cabin close to there.

There are 2 cabins for rent on the East side of the Lake. I remember renting from a guy named Fred, he lives 5 minutes away from the cabins. Boat access only. Propane power only but this was 10 years ago. Phone 780-623-0214

He was still renting them last year...he has them along with the 320 acres they sit on up for sale. My dream property but short a million bucks!

It is but it sits on Provincial Park land and the province will not allow anymore development on that land. Sure would be a great investment but that's why it's been for sale for the last 5 years.

On provincial park land, I do not know for certain but its likely that one would not own the land outright but rather have a lengthy lease on it. Back in the 70's when much of the crown land available in the Lakeland area was sold on a 99 year lease.
