I'm going up to slave lake to work for a few days. Will only have tomorrow from 2pm on to explore. The guy im taking with me has never caught a fish before. No boat. Does anybody know of a good place to fish from shore thats not too far from the town of Slave Lake? A smaller lake or rivers good as well. Perch, pike, whatever.

You could try the wharf at Faust, about 45 mins west of Slave Lake.

Thanks. Slave river entrance is closest to my hotel and jobsite. I'll pack a couple rods and some pike and walleye gear!
