Great day! Caught some beauties! Pretty chunky for this time of year and they were on the feed bag today! Weather finally cooperated too.

Nice perch. I need to take more pics. Love seeing other peoples pics of a successful day. I did well on copper John and golden stoneflys last time I was out. What were you using?

Same stuff as in winter, small jigs and jigging spoons tipped with some maggots and a mealworm. Using a slip bobber rigged very neutral buyout, only the very tip sticking out from the surface.

Man, that's really Super ! Would there be any chance of you letting me know what lake these beauties were caught at ? I haven't seen anything like this since Tucker Lake -1983 ..

Don't be disappointed or offended if the contributor does not want to share the name of his lake with you (and the other thousands of people who may view this thread).

This is the fastest and most efficient means of destroying good perch lakes - word of mouth followed by masses of fishermen putting tremendous pressure on a lake.

Barry, are you from Trochu area? Do you ever hear of any perch left in Pine Lake? It used to be excellent in the 70s but I haven't fished there since.:bad_boys_20:

Nope. Lake Sundance in Calgary. While they look small from a distance holding them within mm of your eyes makes them look huge.

Got in to a bunch of really nice eaters, all 11" long. Released one big girl 13-1/2", hoping she makes it to spawn again before she hits somebody's frying pan or maybe in a couple years I will get another shot her when she is mounting size quality! Super Mario....I carved my name on the side of her so you can't have her lol, she's all mine. :sHa_shakeshout:

Nice, life IS good for you...They're putting on the fall feedbag early.

Not too many jumbo perch threads this year, thanks for keeping this one going.
