I just bought a 7 foot 1 peice spinning rod and reel from Cabelas. I wanted to get a case for it, but i can't seem to find one anywhere. I've seen the rod tubes, but i can't seem to find a rod and reel case. Does anyone know where a guy could find a case for a 7 foot 1 piece rod with reel case?

That's for a 2-piece fly rod, up to 9' total length, so it won't be long enough. Furthermore, it's designed for a fly rod with smaller guides than spinning rod and may not be wide enough either.

I've done some searching on rod cases in the past and haven't come across much for 1-piece rods, other than the full plastic tubes. However, you won't be able to keep the reel attached with these tubes and will need another bag to hold it.

On a separate note, BW Sports has some wicked rod cases for fly fishing, spinning gear, and salmon setups. I found their cases to be awesome quality and good design, too. Unfortunately, nothing for your application.

Let us know what you end up finding!

I went to Wholesale Sports yesterday and they had two rod cases which should work for you. One was their house brand and the other was from TFO. Both were in the $90-100 range and about 85", which should be sufficient.

Here's a link for one of them:

Hi all, thanks for all the responses. Had a tougher time finding a case for the longer 1 piece rods. There's alot less selection than the 2 piece rods. Gonna try the case from wholesale sports and see how that 1 works out. Thanks again.
