Hit Barrier Lake in K Country last Sat, the lake level is still way down well below the boat launch. We had to hand bomb my 12 foot tinner of the boat trailer and carry it the motor and all the gear about 50 feet to get to the water. Fishing was real slow only 4 bites in 6 hrs of trolling with a gang troll wedding band tipped with a worm.
There is no way to legally launch a trailer boat at this time. I cant believe the level is so low, we drove past Ghost and from the highway it appeared to be at its normal level. I was hoping for the same at Barrier but no such luck. There were also Bear warnings posted all over but none of the hiking paths appeared to be closed.
Also went through the mandatory boat inspection station for the 2nd time this year at the weigh station just before the Bragg Creek / Cochrane turn off.
