Tough, yet super fun to fish the 'Shu in summer. We have some decent spots pegged down after a couple/few years of really doing our homework on this lake.
Here's a few moments including my first ever laker (8.5lbs ~).

Yes we have 3 down riggers going. Two with the tested and tried lures and 1 for experimenting usually.

Just got back from 2 weeks out there. I have never had that kind of fishing out there. It was epic. Only fished 2-3 hours a day, never skunked, best morning I had was 13 to the boat. Hammering big rainbows, biggest was 13 lbs. 90% of fish caught were rainbows and I would say average weight was 6 lbs. I have fished this lake for 30 some years and never had this type of success. It was a new area I had never fished before, so it was quite a surprise as people had always told me that not many fish were there. Well maybe that was there little secret.lol. After being home for a couple of days, going to tempt fate and head out there tomorrow for 5 more days.

Awesome! I was out there a few weeks ago and caught a few, but we weren't even using down riggers. To be honest I have never really used one, any recommendations?

We were using down riggers, but caught all fish between 50-25 ft. Used the same spoon all 2 weeks, had to replace one as it was getting pretty beat up. Using a black and white coyote spoon. Trolling at 2.1 mph.
