Nothing to brag about, Just wanted to share a pic my pal took. Its a pretty lousy picture but hes lousy with the camera so :thinking-006: I was holding the line to get him in cause I couldn't get to the net.
Just a little white fish on the sheep. A foot or so not that big. I caught 4 and he caught like 15. some of his were quite bigger than that but it was his lol. The one in the basket is his :p

They're nice fish. There has always been lots of whitefish on the Sheep, its just that they are easier to catch on lures. Since I mostly fly fish on that river, I didn't get as many. But I haven't fished it in a few years now.

I never thought anyone would use a lure on the sheep. We always use fly's. Interesting though, what kind of set up/ technique would you use?

They respond extremely well to small 1/8 oz. panther martins on light line with spinning gear.

Got my first ever white on the Red Deer River west of Innisfail yesterday on a tiny orange/green Rapala. Definitely need tiny lures when fishing these rivers that are mostly whites and trout...#TinyMouths #TinyLures
