Plan on having a good few hours on the Bow tomorrow. Will be fishing with my new spinning gear from the bank, and I plan on going to the Sue Higgins park area of the river. I saw a few guys catching lots of whitefish when I was down there last week on spinning rods.

Any tips on techniques and baits to be using? Thought it's better to ask than just go down there and wing it.

Thanks

DA :)

Maggots just opened on the bow. Tip a royal coachman fly and have weight on bottom and toss into current that feeds a pool and your golden. I just got back and caught 8 whites in 2'hrs. Most 18-20" size.

Tried a few weeks ago when the river was high and dirty and got lots of bites close to shore using the good ole faithful Red Devil spoons (and panther martin spinners with black blade yellow dots) with a quick retrieve

Check the regs I believe use of maggots is not permitted in the lower section.

Very excited for today. I'll post pictures of anything I catch.

I had one rainbow in 4 hours fishing.

Just nothing as hitting any of my lures.

I heard there was a lot of dummies getting caught for poaching and useing bait from glenmore down to sue Higgins so make sure your checking the regs like I commented before.I hope it was nobody on this post cause I warned you.0
