Hey everyone. First post but I have been reading these forums regularly lately.

I've been fishing for a few years but just recently really started to learn about fishing (Techniques, different knots, jigs, set ups, reels, rods).

Anyways, right now with the NSR water levels being so high and the current being fast my assumption is that fish would start settling in the creeks (specifically Whitemud Creek near Fort Edmonton). Would I be incorrect? The water levels in the creek are high but the water is still. Would that be a good place to fish within the city until the NSR levels are back to normal?

I have still have been hitting lakes and ponds around the area on weekends but I like to have that quick cast before work, lunch hours, and after work so it's been disappointing to see that I won't be able to do that for awhile.

Any tips (or creek markers on Google Maps) would be great! Thanks

Just an update. I went out this morning for half hour before work and was able to catch 2 Goldeye! I released them both but I'm hoping one of them survives as it got hooked through the eye and was bleeding quite a bit.

Other than that, great start to the morning!
