Old Midland 30-06

I have a midland 30-06 and I was wondering if anyone knew where or how I can find out when it was made?

History is a bit vague on these but as near as I can tell, Midland was started in the late 1800's and was purchased by Parker-Hale in the 50's. After P-H purchased Midland, they continued to make Midland rifles and came out with a new model, the 2100 in the 70's using a Mauser receiver with a Springfield bolt. The P-H barrels are well known for their accuracy.
So to date your rifle, if it has the Parker Hale name on it then it was probably made between the mid 50's and maybe 1980, if it only has the Midland name on it then it was probably made between the second world war and the mid 50's. And that's as close as I can get with the info provided.

Looks like the one with the Springfield bolt so 70's ish.... or 80's. I think P-H shut down in the early 90's.

Very vague I know, but my father bought a new one just like that in the mid 80s from the local McLeod's store.

OP, the rifle is identical to the pics of yours & was bought in 1984 if that helps.

ETA: If you're not already aware, that P-H trigger is adjustable. I've got a PDF for it around here somewhere if you'd like.
