2016 has been my year no doubt in my mind. These aren't the best fish in the world by any means, but they mean the world to me. :)

I do not wear waders nor I do not fly fish.

Makes me think I made a mistake to start fly fishing when you're landing hogs on gear. Dammit.

Learning to fly fish is by no means a mistake, it's a great method, probably the best for soft water once you truly master it, it's just not for me. I get a lot of grief from fly guys I see in the mountains for no reason simply because of the gear I use which is beyond frustrating at times.. Just don't turn into one of those guys, please.

Hah. It's far more likely I'd be the guy asking to borrow the spinning gear! I plan on taking a telescoping spinning rod with me for a while anyways... for when that eventual time comes that I'm frustrated with fly casting.

Those are some nice trout good job,im super stoked now to get out this weekend, I'm a x gear checker turned hardcore fly fisher but I always take the spin rod down with me and a small box of goodies when I'm fishing water with Bulls. The grief thing i so get it,but it does goes both ways not sure why ,we are all doing the same thing .Love the bully coloration

Yes, thanks for the inspirational pix. I also said to heck with the fly rod. Patience and presentation works for me- this has been a good season for me as well.

Some really nice fish there! It's causing madness alright, mad that I didn't catch them :tongue2:

I hear you on the fly guy attitude. I prefer the fly rod in open water because personally I catch more but I'm an x gear chucker too. The point is catching fish, by whatever method, and having fun out there. Most of these so called elitist fly only annoyers can't catch a thing out of their own element - very closed minded and shallow people. There is Southern AB board that is full of them and I won't sign into that place again, ever.

Congrats again on great trout and thanks for sharing.

So what are you using for gear. Ultra lite with spinners mostly? or? if you dont mind saying.

Great fish and super pics. Keep em coming.
