Got back from Florida the other day.
Managed to get 1 day of fishing in on Lake Toho( 1/2hr away from Disney ). Headed out @ 7AM, we weren't there for more than 5 minutes. Casted into a likely looking spot and BAM caught this HOG.
Scale in the boat said 10lbs, 2 oz. Kept him in the livewell till we went in for lunch and weighed him on a certified scale @ the marina, 10.04 lbs.

Set the bar kind of high for the rest of the day. Caught close to 20 fish throughout the day. Lots of 2-3 lbs, and a couple around 5lbs.

Nice day out 30 degrees with a breeze, perfect for fishing. Then come home to this SNOW.

Have to get a replica made of him now.

Hey Walleye's
It's usually a pretty short, intense fight. They hit like a train, couple of jumps a few good pulls then into the boat, no long runs.
I would still rather be scrapping a big old Northern out of Siebert or Pinehurst.

We were fishing in 5-6 ft of water the entire day, the lake we were on was a pretty good size but the average depth was no more then 5ft.
Kind of like a big slough with million dollar homes around it.

Nice hawg, Rigg Dogg!
Must have been a heckuva way to start the day...
Good on ya, man!

Walleyes, if you want to know how bass fight, take a little trip to B.C; here's a couple pics from a few years ago at Duck Lake, near Creston.
That's a younger version of me with some B.C. largemouths(sorry about the crappy pic quality).

Haven't been out there in years; might be fun to throw topwater poppers on the flyrod...:D

Nope; I've only ever fished for bass in Duck L.

Shannon Lake just out of Penticton used to be full of pan size bass many years ago. First one I caught, I thought it was huge until it surfaced and then it was only about 10 to 12 inches.

Nice pics. My mother just bought a winter place down in Florida, about an hour away from Disney. I'm gonna have to visit her this coming winter for some open water bass action.
