since March 31st is today, do we need to go and renew our fishing licence if we wanted to fish tomorrow?
I am asking as a new fisherman here. I was told when I got mine that it was only good till the 31st. is that everywhere or only certain lakes that close today?

License expires today. You will need a new one tomorrow.

Plus you will have to look at the regs to see which lakes are open as some will be closed during spawning.

awesome bear thank you.
I do realize about the lakes being closed, I actually found out on the weekend that some stay open which was a shock to me.

You'll need a new licence and Regulations , don't think you can buy the new licence until the 10 or 15Th of April , But I do know you can do the walleye Draws right not . But after 2359 03 31 your licence is invalid .

Well I finally got out to Muir and loved the lake but struggled with the weeds abit. After trying all that usually works I finally got one smaller well fed 10 incher. My question would be how can I increase my chances of catching a fish larger than 15"? I've never caught one anywhere and have been to all our small stocked lakes with just 12" and under fish. I was told to go to muir but need some tips. I'm spincasting swell and have an inflatable boat. I used spinners and wooly's and other flys I had been given from my dad long ago. Finally got the one on the wooly on my way back after 3hrs. Any tips?
